By way of a short introduction, I would like to let you know that my name is Doug Swift. I am a member of the Federation of Fly Fishers and have been certified as a fly casting instructor through their comprehensive and internationally recognized fly casting program. I have been teaching and promoting good fly casting techniques for the past 9 years in that capacity.

The value of knowing how to perform and present a good cast cannot be underestimated in the fly fishing world. “Good casting is the prelude to successful fly fishing.” It took a long time for me, as a budding fly fisher 22 years ago to realize that those words are so true. That realization resulted in a journey to be a better caster and subsequently to being a fly casting instructor.

The learning curve has not stopped. I am moving towards the next level of F.F.F. single handed instructional recognition. I’m not there yet, but I’m working on it and that keeps me current and knowledgable in regards to all the latest information about casting mechanics, and successful instructional programs.
My goal to learn and practice all the instructor techniques that are leading to my quest as a F.F.F MASTER CERTIFIED INSTRUCTOR designation will be to your benefit as a student of good fly casting form.

So, if you are a beginner just getting into fly fishing, or an experience fly fisher who wants to take their casting to the next level, give me a call and see what I have to offer.
